Community Guidelines

All use of and participation in the Community is subject to these Community Guidelines. Squaredance wants Members of the Community to be able to talk openly, even if some may disagree. However we recognize the internet can create opportunities for abuse and other bad behaviour. For these reasons, if we have to remove any content or bad players, we do it to maintain a valuable, genuine, inclusive, and safe space.
Rules of Engagement
Simply, we expect Community Members to play nice and be respectful. If we discover content or conduct that we find is not in line with these guidelines, we may remove content and/or revoke your Member account at any time, at our discretion.
Community Members must never:
- upload to or link from the Community any harmful or malicious technology, including malware, that unlawfully accesses information owned by Squaredance, any Community Member, or any third party
- post content that violates applicable laws and governmental regulations, including, but not limited to, all intellectual property, data, privacy, and export control laws, and regulations promulgated by any government agencies, including any rules of any national and other securities exchanges
- allow another person to post from their account or on their behalf
- post content that is abusive, offensive, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racist or bigoted, threatening, libelous, defamatory, or fraudulent
- dox another person, or post content that includes another person’s private or personal information, including but not limited to profile information, images, personal phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, Social Security numbers, etc.
- post content that the user does not have the required rights to under law and under contractual and fiduciary relationships (such as proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements)
- post spam or advertisements
- impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent an affiliation with a person, organization, or entity of Squaredance
- interfere with or disrupt the operation or integrity of the Community or any information, data, content or other materials available on or through the Community
- access the Community in order to build a similar or competitive product or service or copy any ideas, features, functions, or graphics of Square Dance and/or the Square Dance Platform
- authorize, permit, enable, induce or encourage any third party to do any of the above
- do anything to violate the spirit of these guidelines
If at any time you think that a Member’s content or conduct goes against our Community Guidelines, you can report to us.
Member-Generated Content & Contributions
As a Member of the Community, you may have the ability to make information, data, graphics, sounds, videos, messages, profiles and other materials and content, each a “Contribution,” available through the Community. Contributions include but are not limited to all comments, suggestions, advice, and ideas, including those made or given on an existing or potential Squaredance product or feature. All Contributions are subject to the same licensing provisions contained herein.
Members are solely responsible for all Contributions to the Community. Squaredance has no control over Members’ Contributions, and we do not endorse any user Contributions. Additionally, Squaredance does not make any promises about the reliability of any source or the accuracy, safety, or intellectual property rights of any Contributions. By posting a Contribution, you represent and warrant to either own or have all the intellectual property rights necessary to upload or share all content contained within such Contribution and that the Contribution does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
Intellectual Property Rights and DMCA Policy
We take the intellectual property rights of others seriously and require that our Community Members do the same. If you own a copyright or have authority to act on behalf of a copyright owner and want to report a claim that a third party is infringing that material on or through the Community, please contact us.
Licenses
When you make Contributions to the Community, you do not lose ownership of your Contribution. Rather, with each Contribution, you grant Squaredance an unlimited, irrevocable, perpetual, and royalty-free license to access, use, reproduce, display, prepare derivative works of, sublicense, perform, and distribute any Contribution content, feedback, suggestions, or ideas for any purpose without any obligation or compensation to you.
If you make available through the Community ideas and suggestions on Squaredance products or services, you acknowledge and agree that posting such a Contribution does not make you an inventor of any invention that may arise during any development of any Squaredance product or service, including those that may incorporate or are related to Member Contributions to the Community. If, despite the foregoing, you retain any right, title, or interest in any invention, you agree to assign to Square Dance all right, title, and interest in and to such invention, effective upon the invention’s conception, creation, or development. To the extent that you retain any right to or interest in any invention after all permissible assignment, you waive all claims with respect to such rights or interests against Squaredance and its affiliates, and any user of any Squaredance product or service. In addition, you grant Squaredance an unlimited, irrevocable, perpetual, and royalty-free license to access, use, reproduce, display, prepare derivatives works of, sublicense, perform, distribute, modify, make, sell, offer to sell, import, analyze, and exploit all or any portion of such invention. You waive and surrender to Square Dance any claim for infringement, misappropriation, or other violation of any invention or intellectual property rights assigned or licensed under these guidelines.
Modifications
As our Community evolves, we may update these Community Guidelines. Any material revisions to these Community Guidelines will become effective on the date we publish the change. If you continue to use the Community after the effective date of any changes, that use will constitute your acceptance of the Community Guidelines.
Moderation of the Community
To ensure and foster a positive environment, we may designate Squaredance employees to act as moderators and/or administrators for the Community. Squaredance reserves the discretion to remove and alter any Member content at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Community Guidelines; otherwise being deemed inappropriate and/or unlawful; or for any other reason. We have the discretion to block Members who violate these Community Guidelines from posting and/or to revoke the Member’s Community account.
